This is the first year of the Golden Standard Awards. Nominations are open, verification has not finished, and we will not fill this page until it can be filled truthfully.

Why this page is empty
It would be easy to launch this site with fifty names lifted from other people’s lists. It would also be worthless — to the restaurants named without being asked, and to anyone trying to work out whether our seal means anything.
So the sequence is deliberate: nominations first, then the county records, then the visits, then names. When the inaugural class is published it will carry the year, the award, and a link to the specific county record we relied on for each recipient.
Until then, the most useful thing on this page is the form at the end of it.

The inaugural cycle
Dates are ours to keep, and we will publish any change here rather than quietly move them.
Now — open
Nominations are being accepted from diners and operators across all 58 counties.
31 December 2026
Nominations close for the inaugural year.
January – February 2027
Verification: county inspection records read by hand, facility by facility, in the jurisdiction that holds them.
March 2027
Recipients are contacted privately, and given the chance to correct anything we have got wrong about their record.
Late spring 2027
The inaugural class is published on this page, with the award, the year and the county source for each recipient.

The first seals are dated 2026. None have been issued.
If you see this mark on a restaurant’s window or website before the inaugural class is published, it is not ours. Every recipient will be listed on this page, and nowhere else counts.
